Hello.
I have a few questions about Zero hour. When will the rules be published? Also what are the units in the game? platoons or companies and how many figures to a unit?

Hi Lee,

Just a quick reply, making use of daylight hours to work outside this afternoon!

Publication - not sure yet, something Dave and myself will be discussing.

Units - You takes companies, which are broken down into platoons, number of models varies but circa 8 to 12 per platoon (so 1 model equals 3 to 4 men)

Thanks Rob. That sounds very interesting. Will the rules cover the early part of the war?

Yes, we have been using Cavalry in our Somme game (see the reports for more details)

So I signed onto the board to find out more about Zero Hour :-) I've seen some bits and bobs on peoples blog posts etc and look forward to hearing more about them, I did have one thought though about the orders tokens that seem to be involved, perhaps replacing them with some "runner/Messenger" models would look good :-)
anyway look forward to hearing more.. In the meantime I'll be perusing some of the lovely figures available and though I'm thinking of looking more at Africa and Mesopotamia I will see what comes up.

Hi Wayne, originally I was using messengers/signallers as order markers, but on the battlefield it was proving too tricky to pick them out! When we get as far as doing pictures for the book I hope to include suggestions for order markets, including my original version - signallers on poker chips!
