Post Historical & Narrative battles overview
This section of the forum will contain a range of historical battles tailored for War & Conquest. Using Battle Objectives designed for each battle, you will be able to explore the 'what ifs' of history in an exciting manner, as your opponent won't know precisely what your plans are, or, when required what your troops may or may not do. And of course, you won't know what your opponents going to do either.

This will make linked campaigns much more interesting, as there will be more variables, enabling players who have collected armies and built terrain for specific battles to get plenty of use of their endeavours.

The Battle of Platea was published in a recent issue of Wargames Illustrated, and I will be featuring the revised article with new pictures here as an example.

I also featured a scenario based on Brasidas' withdrawal from Northern Greece in an issue of Battle Games. Again, this will be revised and included here as an example.

Other examples can include ambushes and attacks on supply columns.

The community are welcome to submit their own scenarios (there are some in the yahoo group folder) - the more the merrier!

Great!

I'll post up the scenario for "The Battle of Ashingdon" (Oct 18th, 1016) when it's ready.

Regards

Matt

Having set up a couple of topics in advance of the articles either being in the wargames press, I shall, at a convienent future point, sub divide this area of the forum by period, much the same as we have done with the army lists.
