 The Army of the Dead
Currently my army list for the Army of the Dead contain 5 variants, so there are lots of possiblities. List variants so far Necromancers Vampires Werewolves The Entombed- (Mummys/Wight led) Witches/Apparations (inc a bit of voodoo perhaps) Oh and of course, Zombies If you have read the Orc/Goblin and Dwarf/Elf topics, you will have a bit of an idea what this topic is about, but here, I would simply like to hear what people want to see in their Undead lists. (Thinking about War & Conquest/Sorcery rather than other game systems obviously!)

Re: The Army of the Dead
Bats and some easily duped human types wouldn't go amiss...

Re: The Army of the Dead
Huge shambling hordes of zombies and/or waves of skeletons. Gameplay would be nice if you simply overwhelm your enemy by sheer numbers while each killed enemy swells your ranks. Slow movement (WFB undeads are the fastest army, which feels wrong). And nasty things that pop up when the enemy least expects it

Re: The Army of the Dead
zombies definitely shamble I have considered the killed enemy adding to your own ranks, but that depends who kills them, as zombies tend to eat their prey (in film/horror), and its only if theres enough of the prey left, can it come back as something effective.

Re: The Army of the Dead
Hordes of skeletons! With Necromancers lurking behind directing their minions. Undead knights. The clank of rusted armour and the dry rattle of bones. Some bats are essential.

EDIT: Found the Wargames Factory plastic boxed set of skeletons... Gah!? You're a naughty fellow Mr Broom!

Re: The Army of the Dead
I always liked the idea of having upgraded skeleton warriors. Armour, bows, spears etc should be available to the Children of the Hydras Teeth!

Re: The Army of the Dead
How about monsters? I've got lots of different shaped undead monster, like a zombie golem, a giant skeletal reaper and so on. Will it be possible to have these. Maybe treating them like small units?

Re: The Army of the Dead
I expect most monsters to use rules comparable with elephants and scythed chariots so yes monsters a plenty, especially dragons

Loved that old system from another company of raising stuff from graveyard markers.
