Post Greek City States version 2
Here is version 2.

It has more details and some extra feature rules. I would appreciate comments and feedback please. Spartans will get some revamps in line with these amendments.

I should add we do make a range of Greeks and Spartans, link here

Question on Taxiarchos:
In his normal stats he has no SIPs. So if I buy him the 2 SIPs he can have, he costs 160 points. That's 10 points more than the Strategos and this guy even has a better Mo AND can get another SIP.

Is there a reason behind why the Taxiarchos is "a good deal worse" then the Strategos? Cause in this case one ALWAYS takes the Strategos for he is cheaper and better, even in small games.
I would prefer a "cheaper" Taxiarch which I can play once in a while in a smaller game. :-)

Hes theres in addition to the Strategos, based on what I have read regarding Greek army command.

Yes, it's historically correct to have Taxiarchs. The thing that vexes me are the point costs. Why is the Taxiarchos more expensive then the Strategos?

Hes only more expensive if you take the allocation of SIPs

I will review for V3, and perhaps give him an SIP, taking his initial cost to 130, then he can take one extra for 20 points.

To reduce his points cost I would have to remove strikes or life, or increase the life of a strategos to 3, pushing his cost up

(playing greeks myself, I would appreciate another lifepoint for the Strategos. But given the fact, that they are already tough guys, it's fine like it is ;-) )

Okay, thanks

Whats the chance of having some crossbowmen added to the list?

Be nice to see a unit with Gasraphetes... also some models!

Cheers

Not sure who does models, although I have seen some on the table in Macedonian armies. What sort of date did these arrive in Greek armies, it must have been quite late,

I will try and check that about a bit further

Alexander's period was circa 327 BC

Anyone else have any details or thoughts?
