Post The Hornet - Best British Tank of WW1?
Okay it never saw any action but 50 had been built by the end of the war and 200 were on order.

Thought it might be good for "what if" scenarios. I was inspired by the Osprey on the Whippet tank which goes on to the development of the Hornet which ironed out a lot of the problems of earlier British tank design.

The model is from Copplestone Castings. There was a bit of an issue with the assembly but got there in the end.

Indeed. They do the male version as well which had a front mounted 6pdr. This version never got off the drawing board though.

I have mused about getting one or two to face Meic's Martian tripods :shock: Put off by the build issue though. To save money both track sections are from the one mould so the detail on the inner side means they don't fit flush against the hull casting - if that makes sense? Shame really as otherwise it is a nice model.
