A few pictures from the War & Conquest game, and some related games (Japan and Great War)

Thanks to Phil, Reece, Steve, Ken and Barbara for helping out on the day with the War & Conquest

Our game was the Battle of Amphipolis and eventually, after an epic amount of back and forth, Athens won.

Next the Great War game by the Marie Louise des Flandres club

Scarab Miniatures French valiantly assaulting the Great War Miniature Germans lines! Not sure who won as they were right at the other end of the hall from us!



Finally, Oshiro Model Terrain (who were also selling War & Conquest on the day) put on this brilliant looking game next to ours (as you can see in the second picture). You will see much more of it in the War & Conquest Samurai book

I had a chat with Steve and he really enjoyed the day. It looks a bit quiet in the pics but I'm guessing you took them before the plebs were allowed in to stink up the place

Are you really doing a Japan book? I've always loved the Samurai but didn't feel it translated well to an 'all comers' system like WAB. It worked when played in period, Samurai vs Samurai. It would be interesting to see some fantasy far east stuff. We all loved The Water Margin, Monkey! and the modern takes like Kung Fu Hustle.

YES i started the project, called 'Divine Wind' some years ago. Plenty of lists and in period material. It now has to be converted to War & Conquest
